Completed: Tribune canopy for Taranto Municipal Stadium

The canopy for the main stand of Taranto Municipal Stadium has been officially completed and tested. The project involved the design and installation of 4,200 m² of 900 g/m² Type IV PVC membrane to protect over 3,000 seats.

The Technical Challenge

The coastal site of Taranto presented particular design challenges related to wind gusts that can exceed 120 km/h. Our engineering team developed an advanced FEM model to optimize membrane shape and size anchor points to withstand exceptional dynamic loads.
